Tis the time for me to actually post on this thing. Since Katie left it up for me to tell everyone about my gambling problem...

I had lots of fun in Vegas, played in two cash games at two casinos (MGM Grand and Hooters), lost all my money in both. I did slightly better in the two tournaments I played in at the MGM. I came in 12th out of 116 entries at my first tourney. Not bad, but they only pay 9 places, so I was just out of the money. Second tournament didn't go so hot, though I am confident that the "all-in" decision I made was the right one. Who doesn't go all-in with an ace high flush? I guess the guy who's about to get beaten by four 10's...needless to say, everybody at the table was astounded by the hands we both had, but I still walked away with less money in my pocket.

Loss of money aside, I still enjoyed my vacation, and it was exactly what the doctor ordered. As with most vacations, I was happy to get home to my dogs, cats, and brand new Xbox...which I had missed DEARLY.

I hung out with another wife during the first tourney and we felt like groupies.

Hey Matt, you are looking like the serious player, in your Bengal attire!

Gotta admit that I would have gone with that hand also..... that's the thing about gambling tho' ~ just when you think you got it figured out........

Sounds like you had a good time though.
