As mentioned in a previous post, Dad and Candy got me a red stool for Christmas last year. I think the intention was that Casey could eventually use it, and boy has he done so, and then some. Most of the times he watches Daddy leave for work on it, while furiously waving bye. Sometimes he puts his toys in the window sill and collects things up there. What's most lovely is that he balances on the TRASH CAN to climb up on it.
Last week I made the mistake of letting him drag it across the kitchen to "help" me put the silverware away. He took this chores to heart and now screams bloody murder if you try to put the silverware away without his assistance. I had to scramble to find a new place for our knives.
So, yesterday he found a new use for his stool. He drags it over to the counter above the silverware drawer and then brings all of his little people trucks over and runs them up and down the counter. I found him ON the counter shortly after this, trying to reach a truck that had gotten stuck in the corner.
Right now the gate is at the entrance to the kitchen as I don't want to spend my whole morning playing trucks on the kitchen counter. I just hope he doesn't find any other uses for his red stool.

LOVE IT!
We grandparents are good for something, I guess! Cute pictures, and an innovative grandson too.
Ha! Never thought he would use it for that..... but hey, necessity is the mother of invention ~ and he had a necessity to get up to counter level. Just hope he doesn't slip and bust his noggin!
I can't believe how big he is getting! And he'll look eve bigger once his little sister arrives. No wonder you odn't have time to answer e-mails or update your blog! :-)
Well, he's a male! Moves things around without purpose, does things at the most inconvenient times, goes places he's not supposed to go AND screams when he doesn't get his way--he's a guy! The sister will be much easier until she reaches her teenage years. It's hard to believe how much your little bean is doing in there. Loved the giraffe pic!
