Casey is quickly transitioning to a toddler. This is plainly evident by his newfound independance as much as by my reactions to things. For instance, when Casey repeatedly threw his toys on the floor at Red Lobster recently, I didn't worry about germs, but instead about how long this game of "dropsie" would entertain him. I've also adopted a philosphy that Casey's gonna have to choke a few times before he understands that you can't swallow an entire cookie at one time. An event that involved both food and germs caught me by surprise today. While making dinner I put Casey in the highchair. He had cheerios, then some avacado, then vegetable pasta puree (YUM). For "dessert" he gnawled on a zwieback biscuit (teething toast) while I finished up in the kitchen. Well, out of nowhere, Casey starts laughing hysterically. I turn around to fing him hanging his arm over the side of the highchair feeding Valentine his biscuit. Both ends had been eaten on, apparently by two different recepients. I didn't fret about germs or the fact Valentine had just been out back throwing up not 10 minutes earlier. No, I was upset that I didn't have a camera. :)
Enjoy the latest pictures of Casey Doodle. One picture is of Casey using a straw for the first time last weekend at Cracker Barrell. Sorry for the poor picture quality but it was dark and I was using a camera phone.

I love the Cracker Barrel picture with the straw. Casey Lee is growing soooooo big soooooo quickly. Germs or no germs ~ Casey is a healthy strapping young man. Nice blog update......
Hmmm, seems toddlers in Ohio are like toddlers in Arizona, dangling their cookies, etc. down from the high chair to their 4 legged friends below!
Your baby boy is growing up.
Is Valentine still throwing up? I wonder what's wrong with her. I like Casey's hoodie!
Katie, I can't believe how Casey is growing. He a little man now. Hope I can see him again sometime soon. I've only got to hold him once!! Great pictures.
Great pictures. Somehow he looks older in your pictures than he does when he is here. He really does look like a toddler now.
Hi Katie,
Casey is getting to be a big boy. I love how he is using the straw. Maddie uses one for her yogurt and applesauce. He's really a cutie. Hope you guys are doing well.
